Individual thinkings about massive problems

Most people think that we can still have more and more, that there is still a gap to fill in the accumulation process, that there is still margin to improve our lifestyle. There is that general sensation that we have to grow permanently, surrounded by the feeling that the western society will always dominate. Well, I disagree. I think all developed countries had been reaching this ceiling, along the last 20 years, although there are still some exceptions such as Ireland. How can people think that in the future and with the real world situation (not the mediated one) we will be able to spend these amounts of money? How can politicians give us this false sensation that everything is going straight forward? How can people consume so much and so unconsciously? What can be in humanity’s mind to afford being so far from reality, so far from the Earth?? Ok, maybe I do not have the answer to all these questions, but one thing is clear: the free market capitalism does not help, a society leaded by huge corporations which have the ability to control media, money and politicians does not help, and, of course, pretending to have U.S. as a model neither. The same tools (media, money and politicians) could be use in a more tactful way, and, of course, never loosing the market rule. The point is looking for a knowledge society; is setting culture as a priority, and this means the elimination of all the massive media rainfall based on non-thinking distraction (which leads to conformism and unconsciousness). But eliminating the social control set by media (which is controlled at its time by huge corporations) would mean opening the eyes to all these sleeping people, to the consumerist mass. This would mean the elimination of the general sensation that everything is fine, this would mean people discovering they had been miss leaded for long time and they would see how messy the world is. This would mean change, in other words: revolution.
